Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window

An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet landed in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative commented in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This occurrence is not the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has experienced technical problems.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to head back to Washington DC after encountering a mechanical problem.
