Ukraine's drones have hit the Russian oil processing plant in the city of Ufa, situated some 1,400 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, causing blasts and a fire, as reported by a source in the Ukrainian SBU.

Zelenskyy Calls On Trump to Mediate Truce in the Conflict

Power Repair Work in the Capital

Work proceeded on Saturday to recover electricity in the Ukrainian capital, after assaults.

Energy had been recovered to over 800,000 residents by the weekend and the major private energy company announced the primary operations to repair the grid was concluded though certain disruptions continued.

Air Defence Efforts and Drone Downings

The Ukrainian anti-aircraft systems intercepted or jammed 54 out of seventy-eight UAVs from Russia deployed targeting Ukraine in the dark hours, the military said on Saturday.

Russia's defence ministry stated it intercepted 42 UAVs from Ukraine over Russian territory.

Cuban Government Refutes Claims of Sending Soldiers to Ukraine

The Cuban government on Saturday rejected American claims it has deployed military personnel to engage in the conflict in Ukraine, while affirming Cuban authorities "lack precise data about citizens of Cuba" participating "voluntarily" or "as part of the armed units of the conflicting parties".

The foreign ministry in Havana announced 26 Cubans had been given prison terms to prison terms ranging from five to 14 years for mercenary activity since the autumn of 2023 when information spread of Cuban nationals being sent to the battlefield in the conflict.
