Substantial Buzz But a Major Gamble: Battlefield's Latest Takes Aim At Its Rival Series

Within the extremely cutthroat world of gaming, it's typical for emerging rivals to fade away as swiftly as they enter the landscape.
But the latest Battlefield is aiming to change that.
This is the latest entry in a established combat FPS series frequently positioned as a grittier response to Call of Duty.
The franchise has never quite succeeded to rival its top opponent in terms of units sold or gamers, but there are signs the new installment could narrow the difference.
A preview session allowing users a shot to try out the title earlier this year set new benchmarks, and the excitement heading into its debut has been huge.

Production Crew and Developer Collaboration
Four development houses were working on the title under the Battlefield Studios banner.

"We most likely would find it impossible to build and design Battlefield 6 lacking the insights we acquired in the last release," Rebecka tells our team.
A key those insights was to engage fans engaged early, and the studio started invite-only player playtests in recent months.
Their "feedback was explosively positive," states she.
A further absent component from the previous installment was a story mode, which has been reintroduced this time around.
Criterion project head Fasahat "Fas" Salim is the person in charge of "making sure those missions are as enjoyable and interesting as can be for the players."
In spite of allegations that the scope of the title had challenged the multiple teams collaborating globally to build the game, he is positive about the work.
"Collaborating with different perspectives, varied backgrounds, it's a very engaging environment to be part of daily," he says.
"This entire strategy has been something new but also really exciting because we are working with individuals from all over the world."
Regarding the expectation on the developers, Fas states: "We feel demand but at the same time it's motivating.
"It's a big venture. It's arguably the largest that the majority of the team have ever worked on."
Young Developer Brings New View
This is definitely true of a minimum of one developer, lighting artist Vlad Kokhan.
The recent hire produces the lighting elements that influence the tone, tone, and narrative of the story mode.
The artist finished an training period at the developer preceding obtaining a job there, and currently works part-time while finishing his VFX qualification at his school.
Vlad explains he's a long-time fan of the franchise, and remembers playing the previous game of the series at a friend's house when he was in his youth.

"Understanding that I have contributed my personal touch into the title is really dreamlike."
